Patrikan Habaton – #7
This letter is fixed to a Strider near the starting area of the racetrack below Paradise Landing.
Greetings Racer
I hope you come across this piece of advice rather early than after many failed attempts trying to finish this race in time. As I approached this race, I did not really listen to what Greta had to say and just started the race with whatever vehicle I had in my inventory. I first tried out my Sleipnir and realised soon that the race is not meant to be done in your everyday vehicle. You need a very versatile vehicle that can go up and down the steep mountain and seamlessly hover across the water right after. The only vehicle that really meets all the requirements needed is a Strider. Before you now run to the next auction and buy a Strider MK.II off auction here is some advice. You can get a Strider MK.I version when you help the cartographer out. This is a slightly slower version of the Strider MK.II, but will be fast enough for you to complete the Track and is completely free besides your time for helping out the cartographer. You just need to first visit Norma Bates at Tanzanite View and then go on to visit the Resa Docks. If your done you get your Strider MK.I and are ready to approach the race. Make sure to still bring along multiple Papoo Tails, since you will need to give them Greta for each time you attempt to finish the race intime. Once you finish the race intime you get recognised by Greta as “master driver” on top of that you receive 10 Blueprints to craft a Strider MK.II. If you did not come across my introduction to crafting at Paradise Landing, here just my recommendation:
– Do not attempt to use those blueprints unless you have a 95% success rate, or you will be better of selling the blueprints and buy a Strider MK.II.
– If you are at 95% success rate, make sure you have about 10 ped Metal Residue to make your new vehicle fully durable.
I hope this letter have helped you so you can soon call yourself master driver and are a proud owner of a Strider.
