Ancient Greece Shares News
Announcement: Ancient Greece Shares
Next Island and MindArk have been closely monitoring the popularity and performance of Ancient Greece shares since their release, and have agreed to take efforts to improve revenue share distributions for Ancient Greece shareholders.
The Next Island team has been humbled by and thankful for the community’s support of our efforts to breathe new life into Next Island. Your faith in our development and contributions to the community of our planet means a lot to our hard-working team. In turn, we feel we have enough information at this point to make a sensible reduction in the total number of Ancient Greece shares available, which will of course increase revenue share distributions for current and future shareholders.
Accordingly, 350,000 Ancient Greece shares will soon be removed from Next Island’s remaining (unsold) share holdings, resulting in 400,000 total outstanding Ancient Greece shares (compared to the 750,000 shares originally created). This new total number of shares will continue to receive 50% of Next Island’s portion of Ancient Greece revenue, and thus represents a significant increase in expected revenue distributions per share.
We feel that this change will position Ancient Greece shares on a par with other successful share and deed offerings in Entropia Universe, while still providing ample resources for our team to continue expanding and improving Next Island and Ancient Greece moving forward.
Thank you for your continued support,
Next Island Development Team

Customizable Hero Estates
Those that defeat the Gorgon and complete the new ‘Deliver us from the Dark Queen’ mission chain will be awarded with a special token that will allow the purchase of an estate deed for one of the six new unique ‘Hero Estates’ located on Ancient Greece. These estates have been developed utilizing the Entropia Universe Plot system, allowing the placement of new buildings and the upgrading of various features of the estate over time.
Deeds and Shares are a great way to invest into Entropia
They operate similarly to real life stocks, paying a regular dividend relative to the amount of deeds/shares that you own. Each deed or share entitles you to a percentage of the revenue generated by an area or planet for that deed/share.
Deeds
Deeds are the original share system. Each deed is a physical item that can be bought and sold on both the Auction and in player to player trade.
Types of Deeds:
a. Calypso Land Deed – Weekly Payout
b. Arkadia Underground Deed – Daily Payout
c. Arkadia Moon Deed – Daily Payout
Both Arkadia Underground Deeds (AUD) and Calypso Land Deeds (CLD) can be bought either directly from players or on the Auction. Arkadia Moon Deeds (AMD) can only currently be bought from the Webshop and are not tradeable in-game.
Prices and revenue return vary greatly depending on the deed, so be sure to research and/or ask the community to see what these deeds are currently paying out.
To see your revenue from Deeds, as well as transfer any held balance to your PED Card, search for “PED Flow Center” in your Action Library.
Shares
Shares are essentially the same as Deeds, though features a new system for holding and trading them.
Types of Shares:
a. Ancient Greece Shares – Weekly Payout
b. Crystal Palace Shares – Weekly Payout
Unlike Deeds, Shares are not a physical item held in your inventory. They are held virtually within the Share Center, where you can see the amount of each different type of share and the revenue held from payouts.
You can also initiate transfers between the revenue held in the Share Center to your PED Card. You can find the Share Center Menu by searching for it in the Action Library.
When accessing the market, you can see the quantity of shares and prices currently up for sale. From here you can create a buy order, which allows you to select how many shares you wish to buy, and for what price. Equally, you can do this for selling your own shares. Once sold/bought, the PED/shares respectively will be automatically attributed to your holdings.
